Hebrew Placement
If you have previous knowledge of Hebrew, you should take the Modern Hebrew placement exam online at least 72 hours before you arrive for first year orientation: foreignlanguageplacement.indiana.edu (click on Modern Hebrew).
Majors should take:
- A course in Modern Hebrew or Yiddish
- Introduction to Jewish History: From the Bible to Spanish Expulsion- JSTU-J 251
- If you have room in your schedule, consider taking any of our other 100 or 200 level offerings
Certificate Students should take:
- Introduction to Jewish History: From the Bible to Spanish Expulsion- JSTU-J 251
- If you have room in your schedule, consider taking any of our other 100 or 200 level offerings, including a modern Hebrew course!
